ChromeVox Extension for Accessible Math

ChromeVox, the open source screen reader extension for Google’s Chrome web browser, just launched smart verbal presentation and exploration of content that is either given in MathML or rendered with MathJax. You can read details in the release notes and you can see Google’s presentation about it at Google I/O as well (30 minutes). Although the functionality is still in early stages, this is an extremely encouraging development for math accessibility. We’re looking forward to more development in this space and hoping to leverage advances in accessible math rendering wherever possible.
