Research Update: When It Rains It Pours, New Reports From NCAM
This month we have released not one, not two, but three new DIAGRAM reports from our partners at WGBH’s National Center for Accessible Media! The first report is an update to our series on image description metadata, rounding up the latest in standards and recommendations. You can read the full series on the research page of our website here, or download just the newest report as a Microsoft Word Document by selecting this link.
The second report is a write up of the results from an updated DIAGRAM Reading Technology Survey, identifying trends in how people who are blind and have low vision obtain and access reading materials. Both the results from the original survey which was conducted in 2012 and the results from the follow-up can be found on our website here, or you can go directly to the newest report by selecting this link.
Last, but certainly not least, is a brand new report. This report focuses on the existing technology currently being used to create accessible web interactives and can be accessed from our website here or downloaded as a Microsoft Word Document from this link.
We invite you to review the reports and encourage you to provide feedback, especially on any new technologies currently in use that should be added, or nuances on the existing technology described. We’ve said it before and will say it again, one of our favorite parts of having a community, is the communication part and we want to hear from you. Feel free to comment directly on this post, or you can send feedback to email@example.com.
