- DIAGRAM Community members Richard Ladner and Andreas Stefik will be presenting a pre-symposium session at the SIGACCESS Conference on Computers and Accessibility in Seattle Washington titled Making K-12 Computer Science Accessible on March 8th from 8:30am – 5:00pm. - Charles LaPierre will be at eBookCraft in Toronto on March 22, 2017 to present a session titled “In the Trenches with Accessible EPUB – Tales from the Publishing Front Lines” which will review the findings from a Benetech Pilot program, which are informing a certification process that will be widely adopted by the publishing industry.
- George Kerscher will be giving the Key Note address, titled “Ushering in the Born Accessible Era” at a NFB hosted a one-day training seminar, eBooks and EPUB Accessibility. The event takes place in Baltimore, MD on Thursday, March 23, 2017 and will focus on how to create and implement accessible EPUB 3 in a variety of different settings. Brad Turner and Sue-Ann Ma will also be in attending.
- George Kerscher and Charles LaPierre spoke at the Digital Book World in New York on Jan 17th, 2017 in a presentation titled “Born Accessible: It’s Not Rocket Science It’s Closer Than You Think”.
